Since last year we have been represented on the Independent Advisory Group
of Thames Valley Police (Aylesbury Division) when Joseph G. Jones was invited to take a seat on the committee.

Also earlier this year Joseph G. Jones was invited to attend the meetings of the Slough Thames Valley Police,
Race Relations committee, to which he agreed to attempt to foster better relations with the police for the
community.

During discussion the police have expressed an interest in developing better relations with the Gypsy & Traveller
Community and hopefully their action will live up to their intentions although so far no progress has been made.

Over the last few months the Association has received three very negative allegations concerning the conduct of
Police Officers, all the allegations are in some way linked to Slough Police Station and two have already been
reported as racist incidents.

So far Thames Valley Police have failed to comment on the incidents, or co-operate in any meaningful way.
